This location is the perfect place for a dip! The sand is so fine, it's like you're walking on powdery sugar. It's been imported from the Sahara desert so you know it's the real deal. surrounded by a dike, which means the water is always calm and tranquil – perfect for swimming. Highly recommended!
This man-made beach on the peaceful side of Gibraltar is a great spot to spend a day. Although there was a lot of seaweed when we visited, it may not always be the case. Even during the busiest times of the year, people still come to enjoy the beach.
Sandy Bay Beach is far from ideal for a laid-back day in the sun. The sand is alright, but if you're looking for some seclusion, the rocky areas are not much of a refuge. The temperature of the water is quite chilly, given its proximity to the entrance of the Mediterranean Sea, and while it was bearable when we visited in August, it could be much worse. There are a few places to get food and drinks, as well as water boards, but overall it's not the most pleasant beach to spend time at.
Gibraltar's beach is a real gem, with its soft sand and tranquil, crystal-clear waters. While we stayed there for a week, it was always clean and nicely busy - not too crowded! During the summer, there's a cafe/bar, and even a water sports centre, so you'll never be bored! All in all, it's the best beach in the area - and that's saying something!
The beach in Gibraltar is a tourist's paradise! The sand is a beautiful golden hue and so soft underfoot, while the water is crystal clear and inviting. The beach has an artificial enclosure that blocks the waves, making swimming a pleasant and safe experience. There are also toilets and a cafeteria with a great selection of drinks, plus parasols to rent at a great price. If you're looking for a tan, make sure to arrive a few hours before sunset, when the rock will shade the beach from the sun's rays.
