Nestled in the quieter southern part of Shengjin, the beach may be a tad overcrowded with sunbeds and umbrellas packed too closely together for comfort. Nevertheless, the beach is pristine with little to no garbage apart from the occasional cigarette butt. The water is shallow, and the waves are moderate, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing swim. However, the water is foggy with limited visibility. Shengjin is a newly built area with a promenade and a fun fair, but there isn't much else to do. Mosquitoes are abundant, and the sewer stench can be overwhelming during evening and night hours. Perhaps the infrastructure can't keep up with the numerous apartment buildings under construction. The locals are friendly and hospitable, especially to foreigners, although not many of them speak English fluently.
This charming small town boasts a beautiful landscape that includes both mountains and a beach, making it a perfect destination for a relaxing getaway. What sets this town apart from others is the fact that the buildings are being constructed right on the shoreline, providing stunning views of the sea. There are plenty of options for entertainment, including bars and restaurants, so you won't be bored during your stay. The best part is that the cost of visiting the beach is quite affordable when compared to other beaches in Albania. Although we haven't checked hotel prices yet, we can assure you that this town is easy to get to, being only 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Tirana. While there may be a bit of mess around, the town is constantly improving and growing, making it an exciting place to visit.
This vibrant and lively beach in the heart of Central Albania is a must-visit destination. A quick and easy 15-minute journey from Lezhë in a public bus or furgon, for no more than 50 lek, will take you to this bustling seaside paradise. Here you will find an array of public deckchairs, showers, and local vendors selling their unique wares. I highly recommend trying the delicious milkshake from the friendly lads on the little yellow vehicle. There are also several reasonably priced restaurants nearby to satisfy your hunger. The water is refreshingly cool and the sand is soft and inviting underfoot, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely swim or people-watching session for a few hours. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience this lively and exciting beach.
