The waitstaff and bartenders at this beach are incredibly impolite, as they request payment for every single order. Despite the service being advertised as all-inclusive, the quality is quite poor. The food is dreadful, and to make matters worse, I even witnessed a mouse in the kitchen. The hygiene standards are absolutely disastrous.
Everything is great. The beach, room, and service are excellent. The only downside is the disappointing food and drinks. It doesn't quite live up to a 5-star rating. There seems to be an abundance of Russian tourists. Nonetheless, it offers good value for the price.
The view from our room, especially during sunset, was absolutely breathtaking, and the pool was quite enjoyable. However, apart from those aspects, the overall experience was quite ordinary, and unfortunately, I noticed that some of my belongings went missing due to the cleaner's negligence.
This beach is absolutely terrible. I would strongly advise against coming here or staying at this hotel. The rooms are in poor condition. The internet in the lobby is extremely slow, and if you want to use the free internet in your room, you have to pay $15-20. Thank goodness we have SIM data. The bar is a joke. There is no table service, and you have to wait in line for 5 to 10 minutes just to get a warm, low-quality beer or poorly made cocktails. As for coffee, there are only 2 options for hot coffee, and if you want it cold, you have to pay extra. It's ridiculous. The food is okay, and the staff is decent, but if you want a drink or soda, be prepared to wait and hope there are glasses available. Everything here is old and dirty. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and would rate this place a 1 out of 10.
First and foremost, I must warn you to avoid Tia Heights Makida Bay for your holiday. It was an unpleasant experience for us. The room was extremely outdated and the air conditioning was incredibly noisy. The room service only changed our towels twice in a week, and to make matters worse, the terrace door didn't even lock properly. When it came to the food, we were relieved that we didn't get food poisoning, but it was still awful. The restaurant was dirty, with sticky tables and dirty plates, glasses, and plastic cups. There was also a shortage of glasses. The bars had unfriendly staff and served very poor quality alcohol. Additionally, the glasses and plastic cups were dirty. In terms of entertainment, unless you spoke Russian, it was difficult to enjoy. The majority of the evening shows were mainly in Russian language. Despite being rated as a 5-star hotel, in our opinion, it should not have more than 2 stars. We have stayed in 3-star hotels before that were of much better standard. Lastly, the internet was advertised as free on their website, but it was only available in the lobby and the speed was very poor.
