I absolutely adore the beach at Sergiivka! It's pristine, with soft sand and scattered shells, and it stretches out for miles. There's plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. Plus, there are multiple changing rooms available for convenience. Getting to the beach is a breeze - you can cross over a charming bridge, hop on a steam train, or even take a boat. This summer, the boat ride cost only UAH 10, while the steam locomotive ride was UAH 15 from the nearby sanatoriums. The sea is crystal clear and free of jellyfish and algae, making it perfect for swimming. And to top it all off, the embankment is adorned with beautiful flowers.
During peak season in Odessa, it can be a challenge to find a spot on the local beaches without feeling crowded. However, there is a solution for those seeking peace and personal space. A short trip to Sergeevka offers a spacious beach that is not overrun with vacationers. The spit is large enough to accommodate everyone without feeling cramped, and there are no hostels to detract from the serene atmosphere. For a small fee of 10 UAH, a boat can transport you to the spit, or you can opt to walk across the bridge. Overall, Sergeevka beach is a great option for those looking to escape the crowds and enjoy a relaxing day by the sea.
The beach is definitely worth a visit. The town has a serene and peaceful vibe, resembling a large sanatorium. The highlight of the town is the long pedestrian bridge that leads to a spit with a beautiful sea beach. You can opt for a train ride or cross the estuary on a boat for a nominal fee of 10 UAH. Although the beach lacks amenities and has only a few shabby stalls, it boasts of a wide and sandy expanse. Even during peak season, the beach is relatively uncrowded, offering a tranquil escape. For a unique experience, take a boat from the pier under the Moldavian Cuisine restaurant to reach an almost deserted beach.
The purpose of their visit to Sergeevka was not to lounge on the beach, but rather to admire the bridge that spans the estuary leading to the sea. The main pathway is adorned with beautiful rose bushes and the area is well-maintained. They crossed the bridge to reach the sea and opted to return via a boat that ferries passengers back and forth for a nominal fee of 10 UAH. While there are cafes along the main pathway, there are no public restrooms available. However, they were able to use the restroom at one of the cafes upon request.
During our last day of relaxation in Zatoka, we made the decision to visit Sergeevka and immediately regretted not doing so earlier. In comparison to the bustling atmosphere of Zatoka, Sergeevka felt like a true paradise. The sea was crystal clear and the beach was practically empty, allowing us to fully unwind and rejuvenate both our bodies and minds. Our stay in August 2019 was truly unforgettable.
