We made a quick stop during our boat trip and it was quite fascinating to witness the ruins. The beach turned out to be an excellent spot for swimming.
I highly recommend this beach as the perfect spot to park and spend the day swimming in the crystal-clear blue ocean.
The bay was absolutely stunning, and we had the opportunity to spend a night there, witnessing a breathtaking sunrise.
The Pregnant Church Bay is absolutely breathtaking. It boasts a stunning sheltered bay, making it an ideal spot for docking your boat. One of the highlights is the opportunity to explore the Pregnant Church, a fascinating ancient ruin associated with the Templar order. If you plan on hiking up to the ruins, it's advisable to wear appropriate footwear, such as trainers. Simply follow the blue paint splodges on the rocks through the bushes, but be cautious of loose rocks and prickly plants. It's not uncommon to spot local fishermen diligently repairing their nets on their boats. Occasionally, you might even catch a glimpse of the nearby herd of cows grazing near the water's edge. The area is teeming with various marine life, including fish, squid, and turtles. To beat the crowds, it's recommended to arrive early, especially during the peak season. Keep in mind that the fishermen's dog might hop aboard your boat in search of leftovers, but it's a friendly and affectionate pup who simply craves some attention and affection. Please treat this lovely-natured dog with kindness and respect.
The bay at the front and the one at the back are completely different from each other. It's a delightful spot to explore by boat. This beach isn't frequented by many tour groups, which makes it a refreshing change. Although there aren't many ruins remaining, the natural beauty and the pristine turquoise waters are truly enchanting. Additionally, this place is abundant with various natural herbs, and local farmers often come here to offer honey, spices, and herbs they've collected from this area. It's quite small and as far as I know, there is no way to access it by land, but it's definitely worth a visit if you have the opportunity while cruising on the seas!
