Altes Strandbad Weesen is located on the Walen Lake and it is in the 4th place out of 16 beaches in the St. Gallen region 38.7 km away from its center, the city of Sankt Gallen. It is one of the beaches of Weesen settlement, just 0.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Altes Strandbad Weesen coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

This beach is surrounded by trees and hedges, and has a flat shoreline with plenty of sand, as well as some stones and wood. Access is only possible by foot or bike, as it is located in a nature reserve. There are Dixi toilets at the entrance.
