Sentiero delle Rive (Minusio-Tenero) is located on the Lake Maggiore and it is in the 16th place out of 20 beaches in the Ticino region 19.8 km away from its center, the city of Lugano. It is one of the beaches of Tenero settlement, just 1.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season. There is a campsite located nearby.

From the end of October to the end of March, you can access this stunning path that starts at Mappo am See, located between Minusio and Tenero. However, it is closed during the remaining months, and the campsites extend to the lake. The path is now open again from 1.11.22. Along the way, there is a beach bar that serves delicious food and drinks to guests when the weather is pleasant, as shown in the photo.

Starting from the Locarno landing stage, head in the opposite direction and follow the pedestrian street that runs alongside the lake all the way to Tenero. It's a picturesque walk that takes about an hour and is suitable for families and even pets. Along the way, you'll pass through the charming Rivapiana area, which is home to historic fishermen's houses. It's definitely a walk that shouldn't be missed.
