I had a less than ideal experience at this beach. The sand was littered with cigarette butts and garbage, making it unpleasant to walk around. Additionally, it was filled with loud, boisterous and obnoxious people. It wasn't my kind of place, but I guess it's a matter of personal preference. I would not recommend it unless you're looking for a Spanish version of Rhyl or Blackpool. The only saving grace was the taxi service, which was good and helped me leave quickly.
Salou beach is such an energetic place! It was bustling when we visited. We had an amazing time indulging in delicious food and drinks, feeling the warmth of the sun, and sinking our toes into the sand. Public transportation and taxis were both excellent, making it easy to take a side trip to Tarragona. All in all, it was a great experience!
The beach may have an impressive side walk, Paseo, but there are not many attractions to be found. There are a few restaurants along the side, but they close rather early. The terraces may stay open late, but overall the beach doesn't have much to offer.
Top-notch - wide and long enough to make sure you'll never feel crowded, even during the busiest season. Plus, there's a beach bar every 100-200m, so you can rent parasols and beds, grab a bite or a refreshing drink without having to worry about prices. And if that's not enough, there's plenty of water sports to choose from, like jet ski, banana ride, water-skiing, water-boarding, parashooting, etc. Last but not least, the beach is super family-friendly and safe, so you can rest assured that your kids will be in good hands.
This place is an absolute paradise! The sand is so soft and inviting, and there are plenty of fun activities for kids, like swings and more. You can rent sunbeds and get food and drinks from nearby concession stands. Plus, the views of the coastline and mountains are simply stunning!
