The General's beaches of Crimea are known as the pearl of the gentle Sea of Azov, located along the coast of the Karalar Reserve. These cozy bays are considered some of the most beautiful and secluded spots on the entire Crimean coast. They have become a top destination for those seeking a wild holiday, as there are no hotels or shops for kilometers around, only endless sandy and shell beaches. It's a true paradise for those looking to relax away from the hustle and bustle of city life. However, reaching the beaches can be quite challenging, as the road is bumpy with steep descents and ascents, and public transport doesn't go there at all. Just like any wild natural place, you may encounter the local fauna, including non-poisonous vipers, spiders, centipedes, and other creatures. Although they are safe, they can be quite unpleasant.
It's the perfect spot! The beach is covered in soft sand and surrounded by rocks, and the water is incredibly pure. It's absolutely delightful! We drove from Vityazevo by car, and the journey took us about 3 hours. We spent 2 hours on regular roads, 20 minutes on bumpy asphalt, and 40 minutes on a dirt road. Be careful, as there are deep ruts and sharp stones in some areas. But overall, it's not difficult to reach. We drove a Solaris and hit the bottom three times, but it was fine. Many people stay overnight and set up tents. The trip took us 3 hours to get there and 3 hours back. One huge advantage is that there are very few people, so you can relax in peace, away from the crowds!
This beach is an excellent choice for a peaceful family getaway with camping. However, it is important to have a regular car to reach the location as there is no road available. Instead, you have to navigate through mountains and hills on a rough gravel path. It is also crucial to ensure that your tents and pegs are suitable for the strong winds that frequently occur at this beach, as many unprepared tents have been blown away in the past. Additionally, there is no connectivity in this area, although occasionally you might be able to catch a weak signal if you climb to the highest point and find a suitable spot. However, such areas are scarce.
It's a really cool spot! We visited for two days, but it was mainly for a photoshoot. The locations are absolutely unmatched in their beauty and untamed nature! The ocean is pristine, and there are hardly any people around! However, there's also a lack of modern amenities 😁 Crimea is absolutely stunning! I completely fell in love with this place, although the roads... Oh boy, they were rough. Only SUVs seemed to be able to handle them, guys! But the destination itself is totally worth it! We stayed overnight in Kurortnoe. It felt like we had traveled back 50 years in time, but the price for the room was reasonable! I really enjoyed the local café's cuisine, especially the delicious seafood - and the prices were quite normal! Just to give you a comparison, in Anapa you would have paid 500-600 rubles for a portion of rapana, whereas in the same place we only paid 200 rubles 😁 This place is absolutely amazing! The beaches are simply incredible!
