Whilst the sea in Crimea boasts of being clean and picturesque, our experience at the beach was not as expected. The water was murky and had a strong odour of mud, leaving us feeling disappointed. My husband went ahead for a swim, while I chose to bask in the sun and appreciate the stunning view of the sea. It took us approximately 10 minutes to reach the beach from the Church of the Archangel Michael.
The beach offers a charming bay, crystal-clear sea, and occasional big waves that add excitement to the experience. There are also cafes and a range of water activities available. However, the lack of attentive staff is disappointing, as they seem uninterested and unengaged with customers. This is particularly noticeable after a long break, and it's a shame that their lack of enthusiasm detracts from the natural beauty of the surroundings. Improvements in the culture of service are needed to enhance the overall experience.
The beach has a narrow strip of sand, and the water is clear. The depth begins after about 5-6 meters. The beach is covered in pebbles, making it difficult to walk on without special shoes. There are also some large stones in the water. A toilet is available on the beach, next to the cafe, and you can ride a banana for 350r. It's not the most accessible beach for those with baby carriages, as there are several stairs to navigate. However, out of all the beaches in Alupka, this one is likely the best.
The beach offers stunningly clear and inviting water, accompanied by picturesque vistas that are sure to take your breath away. The wooden path leading to the shore is incredibly comfortable, making your journey to the beach an enjoyable one. If you arrive early in the morning or later in the afternoon, you'll find that parking is a breeze. All in all, I highly recommend paying a visit to this delightful beach.
A few years back, I was persuaded by a friend to visit this beach that seemed to have been stuck in the early 1900s. Although I was glad to have gone, I don't think I'll be making a return trip anytime soon. The place had a certain old-fashioned charm to it, but it wasn't necessarily a good thing.
