Plyazh Mai is located on the Black Sea and it is in the 18th place out of 34 beaches in the Constanța region 43.5 km away from its center, the city of Costanza. It is one of the beaches of 2 Mai settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.

A significant part of the beach has a restricted access. The beach facilities are only available to hotel guests. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In comparison to other beaches along the Romanian coastline, this particular beach is relatively pristine. Moreover, during the end of August and early September, it tends to be less congested, allowing for a more intimate and tranquil experience.
