Puerto Las Vacas is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 202th place out of 224 beaches in the Puerto Rico region 46 km away from its center, the city of San Juan. It is one of the beaches of Barceloneta settlement, just 4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious bay with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Puerto Las Vacas coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

Although not my top choice, this beach offers a picturesque spot for a quick photo opportunity and a leisurely stroll along the shoreline. However, it may not be the ideal location for swimming. For a better swimming experience, consider venturing a little further down to one of the other nearby beaches. While this beach is known for its black sand, it doesn't quite measure up to the stunning black sand beaches found in Maui.

Ideal for surfing enthusiasts, but it's important to be cautious of the strong currents. This beach may not be suitable for swimming or snorkeling. The picturesque black sand beach is perfect for capturing stunning photographs or enjoying a leisurely stroll. The sand's composition is a result of sediment from a nearby river. If you continue driving for just one minute, you'll discover a serene spot where you can swim and relax. There's a designated parking area for up to 10 cars and a convenient boat ramp nearby.
