Praia Grande is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 20th place out of 58 beaches in the Azores region 164.1 km away from its center, the city of Ponta Delgada. It is one of the beaches of Praia da Vitoria settlement, just 0.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal.
