It is one of the beaches of Sao Martinho do Porto settlement, just 0.7 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a long bay with blue water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is very crowded place during the season. There is a campsite located nearby.

From a purely physical perspective, this beach is truly breathtaking. Its fan-shaped layout and limited access to the ocean result in gentle waves that wash over every inch of the shoreline simultaneously. One can even observe the mesmerizing wave pattern from the cliffs that separate the bay from the vast ocean. The beach itself is expansive, featuring a long stretch of soft, sandy terrain and calm waters. Although the town is rapidly developing into a popular resort destination, it still retains its natural charm, complete with a lengthy boardwalk.

Our preferred coastal spot on the Silver Coast is a haven for families seeking a safe and serene environment. The tranquil and shallow waters gently caress the flat beach, making it ideal for both infants and adolescents. Along the promenade, you'll find an array of shops and cafes, providing ample opportunities for relaxation and refreshment. At the southernmost point, there are sand dunes to explore on foot. Unlike Nazare, where we were battered by the wind and sand on one occasion, the breeze here is warm and gentle. The beach faces west, offering spectacular sunsets that are a sight to behold.

The beach appears to be visually stunning, but upon closer inspection, it is nothing more than a mundane destination. It seems to be geared towards families, which may not be ideal for those seeking a more mature and sophisticated atmosphere. Overall, it fails to impress and is not worth the time or effort to visit.

The tranquil beach had pleasantly warm waters, which was a delightful surprise for me as compared to the usual temperature in Portugal. It was an enjoyable experience, and I am certain that I will revisit this place. Although finding a parking spot was slightly challenging due to the small village, it was expected, and I managed to find one by arriving early.
