It's a great spot for novice surfers, and it's not too crowded. The location is truly breathtaking!
A truly lovely location! The beach tends to get quite bustling, so it's best to arrive early in the day. However, once you're settled in, you'll be able to fully appreciate the stunning bay. Additionally, the parking area at the summit is perfect for an evening spent in a camper van - we didn't encounter any issues with the GNR or anyone else.
The beach is pleasant, but it's important to note that there are no restroom or dining facilities available. Despite this, it's an excellent spot for surfing.
The beach offers stunning waves and a picturesque walking path. However, the road leading to the beach is unpaved and rough, so it's advisable to avoid small cars. Remember to pack everything you need since the area is remote and there are no amenities available.
To find Praia de Vale Figueiras, you'll need to be adventurous as Google Maps will take you off the main road and through a small residential area. Once you reach the end of the pavement, you'll find yourself in a farmland area where all signs of modern life slowly disappear. If you're brave enough to continue, you'll descend down a steep gravel road that hopefully leads to the beach. After about 2.5 kilometers, you may start to feel anxious due to the loss of cell service, but just as you're about to turn back, you'll see pavement again. Turning onto the blacktop will lead you to the parking lot for the beach. From there, a short walk will take you to the stunning Praia de Vale Figueiras. Don't forget to take it all in!
