Barranco das Belharucas is located on the North Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 36th place out of 152 beaches in the Algarve region 23.6 km away from its center, the city of Faro. It is one of the beaches of Olhos de Agua settlement, just 1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a spacious coastline with turquoise water and brown fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The stunning panoramic vista of the beach from atop the cliff is truly breathtaking. The cliffs boast a striking contrast of red and white clay, adding to the natural beauty of the surroundings. A leisurely stroll along the sandy shoreline is a must, with the added bonus of being able to climb up to the cliff's summit for an even more spectacular view. My experience at this beach left me thoroughly enamored.

For Pine Cliffs residents, the complimentary umbrellas provide much-needed shade during the scorching heat. This family-friendly beach boasts calm waters, making it an ideal spot for children to safely splash around. The gentle waves create a soothing ambiance, allowing visitors to fully unwind and appreciate the stunning surroundings.

We ventured beyond the Albuferia old town beach and were pleasantly surprised. This beach is ideal for families with young children, as the water is crystal clear and shallow. Loungers are available for rent at €10 each, but be aware that they tend to fill up quickly. We arrived at 11am and found that most of them were already taken. While there are two beachfront restaurants, they tend to be quite busy, so it's a good idea to bring your own picnic. Additionally, there are clean restroom facilities on site.

The beach exudes a pristine and inviting atmosphere, with its immaculate appearance and refreshing ambiance. We opted to rent umbrellas for a modest fee of 10 euros per day, which proved to be a wise decision as we were able to bask in the sun's rays without any discomfort. Despite its vast expanse, the beach never felt cramped or overcrowded, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the idyllic surroundings.

This beach is absolutely stunning with crystal clear waters that are shallow enough for safe swimming. The abundance of sunshades provide ample shade for those looking to escape the sun's rays. Additionally, the view from the top of the cliffs is simply breathtaking and worth the climb.
