The beach was teeming with people, making it impossible to find any solitude. The waves were nothing to write home about, with only a few measly 1-2 footers to chase after. The sand bottom was unremarkable and uninteresting. The majority of the surfers were middle-aged Israeli men of mediocre skill, and there were far too many people trying to catch the same waves. Even when a wave did come, it was common for 3-4 people to try to drop in at once. The only saving grace was that the beginners seemed to know their place and stayed away from the peak, opting instead to ride the closeouts. The water was warm and clear, but overall the beach was a disappointment and did not live up to the hype or the effort it took to get there.
