Stara Banja is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 19th place out of 29 beaches in the Herceg Novi region 2.3 km away from its center, the city of Herceg Novi. It is one of the beaches of Igalo settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and gray fine pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Can we really call it a Caesar salad if the lettuce is drowning in mayo? I understand that in Montenegro, one shouldn't expect authentic Caesar dressing, but putting so much mayo in the salad is not acceptable. I was disappointed with my meal today.

I would not recommend this place at all. While the location is great for the beach and restaurant, our experience was extremely disappointing. We decided to stop here for lunch based on positive reviews, but we deeply regretted it. We ended up paying 20.5€ for a lunch that was a complete disgrace. The Caesar salad was a major letdown. They used powdered Parmesan instead of flakes, making the salad very dry. The bacon was burned and covered up with the dry cheese, which was unacceptable. The dressing did not taste like real Caesar dressing and had an old, sour flavor. The chicken was decent but a bit dry. We ordered a double Sopska salad to share, hoping for a good Balkan dish. However, it was a complete disaster. The cheese was not the traditional white cheese and did not mix well with the vinegar. The vinegar itself lacked flavor, and the salad was missing peppers. We paid 7.8€ for a salad that was essentially just cucumber and tomato with tasteless cheese. It was so disappointing that we couldn't even finish it. The whole experience made us angry, and we will never return. It's a shame to waste such a perfect location on serving such bad food. The only reason I ate the Caesar salad was because I was starving. To top it off, the cutlery was broken, with chipped glass and plates. It was a truly unpleasant experience all around.
