Kaltene beach is located on the Baltic Sea and it is in the 58th place out of 62 beaches in the Latvia region 92 km away from its center, the city of Riga. It is one of the beaches of Kaltene settlement, just 1.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with green water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Kaltene beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature, changing rooms, toilets. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

Hi there, My group of around 50 people visited this beach on 07/23/2022 and we absolutely loved the location and the homestead atmosphere. What made it even more special was that the young owners of the homestead not only allowed us to have a fire in the fireplace, but they also happily provided us with a wheelbarrow full of dry firewood. It was such a delightful experience to spend our evening enjoying mulled wine, gazing at the bonfire, the starry sky, and the swans gracefully swimming in the Gulf of Riga. I hope you have the opportunity to create your own unforgettable moments here as well.

The beach has a perfect location right by the seaside, and the staff (specifically the owner) are friendly and welcoming. The kitchen is fully equipped. However, if you happen to stay during the chilly season (like I did in the beginning of May), the shared facilities, including the shower, can be quite cold. On the bright side, the rooms have heaters, which is a plus. The price for the quality is very good.
