The beach has a mix of light sand and pebbles, providing a unique texture underfoot. Additionally, the Latvian national forest recreation area offers designated campfire and tent sites for visitors to enjoy.
This beach is absolutely stunning and an ideal spot for camping! The sand is light and mixed with pebbles, which adds to the natural beauty of the area.
This is an excellent spot to spend a night or two. It's very peaceful and serene, with the added bonus of a river flowing into the sea, which is quite unique. The campsite is well-equipped with tables, a wooden path, and basic bathroom facilities. It's a great place for both tent and camper camping, and it's one of my top picks for wild camping in Latvia.
The beach boasts a charming ambiance, perfect for a romantic getaway. Additionally, the sand is light in color and mixed with pebbles, providing a unique texture underfoot.
Even on a weekday with less-than-ideal weather, there were a good number of people (about 6-7 cars) staying overnight at the beach, which we found to be a positive. When we arrived after 10pm on a stormy night, it was reassuring to see campfires, tents, and people around. We also noticed that the beach was much cleaner than the Vasas camping site we had visited earlier in the week.
