The available spots are littered with glass and trash. The locals offer mud massages and then ask for 20 JOD per person. Floating is enjoyable but not particularly unique, and you can only stay in for about fifteen minutes before any minor cuts start to sting.

I regret not taking more photos. Thankfully, we brought sneakers because you have to pass through a broken fence and down a sandy hill. It's easy to slip if you're wearing slippers or flip flops. We arrived before 11AM and noticed many cars parked along the main road. The beach itself is decent, but the area leading up to it is extremely dirty with trash everywhere, and locals continue to add to the mess. We felt uncomfortable as some locals followed and watched us from a distance, staying the same amount of time as us and leaving when we did. A group of guys approached us, wanting to swim, talk, and touch us, which led us to leave and find a private beach.

This is the perfect spot to visit if you're looking to save money - it's a free beach, but it's better than many others. You can even spend the day walking down to the beach, with several large trees providing good shelter for resting. Before reaching the beach, you'll come across some hot water pools where you can enjoy a mud bath. It's said that this mud has healing properties.

The beach is not amazing, but it's not terrible either. Just be aware that there is a steep walk, flies, and some garbage on the beach. Also, make sure to have a plan for showering afterwards because there are no facilities available on site.

The fact that it's free is a major advantage. However, there is a significant amount of litter (such as cans, broken glass, and even a dead goat), so it's recommended to bring water for rinsing off after swimming since there are no showers available. Despite these drawbacks, the ocean is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. :)
