Our Masseria suggested this lido to us and we were thrilled with the recommendation. Situated on the renowned Maldive de Salento beach, it offers a private area that is separate from the public beach. The beach is spacious, and the serene turquoise waters are tranquil without any waves. You can wade out quite far without any concerns. For us, the adult-only section was crucial, and it was a haven of calm. You can leave your belongings on your beach chair and feel secure while you go for a swim. The cafe serves delicious food at reasonable prices, and we were impressed with the quality.
The beach offers a sandy bottom with a small row of pebbles at the shoreline. However, the restaurant leaves much to be desired. Our order of fish & chips and a burger was disappointing, with the fish being served as a small, breaded round that lacked any discernible fish flavor. It would have been more suitable for a kid's meal. The burger was equally unappetizing, with a sad appearance that left much to be desired. To add insult to injury, the patio was infested with flies. It might be best to pack your own lunch and enjoy it on the beach instead.
Undoubtedly the finest lido in Salento, this beach is a serene haven far from the hustle and bustle of crowded shores. The sea is a sight to behold, with its sparkling, transparent waters and stunning turquoise hues. The staff are incredibly courteous and skilled, and the umbrellas are thoughtfully arranged. The pristine white sand is always immaculate, and the cuisine is exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend this beach and eagerly anticipate my next visit.
For many years, I have been indulging in the serene beaches of Salento. This summer, I conducted thorough research and decided to opt for Elite. The sand is exquisite, with a smooth texture and a long stretch of shoreline that is divided into two or three sections. What I find most appealing is the fact that the three-sectioned part is exclusively for adults, and the wooden lines run throughout the entire beach. The umbrellas are placed four meters apart, and there are small tables that add to the comfort. The sea is shallow, with no rocks or stones, making it easy to take a blind dive into the water. There is a cozy restaurant that offers a limited but reasonably priced menu, with warm dishes and plates of the day available. The beach staff is always on hand to bring refreshments to your sunbeds. There is only one toilet for each gender and two showers that require coins. The parking is free, but it can get dusty, as it is also used by visitors to the free beach. Overall, it is an excellent deal, and I appreciate the tranquility, the soft sand, and the turquoise sea. The prices are very reasonable, and I even received a discount for my extended stay. I booked in advance with a down payment and paid the balance upon arrival. I am sure to return next year and relive the 25 days of pure bliss spent on this beach.
We spent an amazing day at this beach, despite the language barrier with the staff. With my basic Italian and some gestures, we managed to communicate effectively. The beach beds and the bar/restaurant were the highlight of the entire stretch of beach. The prices for the beds were reasonable, with €27 for the front row, €24 for the second row, and €20 for the third row. The lunch menu was impressive, with a variety of salads, sandwiches, and local Frise's, which were absolutely delicious. The drinks were also affordable, with a glass of Prosecco costing €3.50 and a beer costing the same. The sea was calm and inviting, which was a welcome relief from the scorching heat. Snorkeling over the rocks was an exciting experience, even though there weren't many fish to see. Nevertheless, it was still a fascinating sight to behold.
