Lamarée Lido beach is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 37th place out of 46 beaches in the Taranto region 8.1 km away from its center, the city of Taranto. It is one of the beaches of Lama settlement, just 1.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a short straight coastline with crystal blue water and concrete cover, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Lamarée Lido beach is fully occupied by beach clubs with restricted entrance. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. The food was decent, but unfortunately the service was severely lacking. We ended up waiting for our main course for four hours, and ultimately had to leave without even eating it. Needless to say, we won't be returning. Additionally, if you want to order a drink, be prepared to request it multiple times.

The restaurant could potentially be decent, but if you visit with a group larger than eight people, they seem to struggle to keep up. We ended up waiting an unprecedented three hours for our pizza, while it seemed like Italians were being served ahead of us. Tourists were left waiting until they were no longer hungry. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the place. The staff was also quite unfriendly, making the whole experience a waste of time, money, and nerves.

The beach is well-maintained and the pizza is absolutely scrumptious, however, there's one staff member who's quite unpleasant. We've visited this beach multiple times and unfortunately, we've had negative encounters with this individual on more than one occasion. On the bright side, Foday is the friendliest and most courteous staff member we've encountered and his fluency in English is a huge relief for us. We appreciate the hospitality and look forward to returning next year!
