It's funny how some of the negative reviews here complain about the crowds! The beach is absolutely stunning and compared to the more popular spots like Portofino and Santa Margherita, it's actually quite secluded. Clearly, everyone had the same idea to come here for the summer! If you're not a fan of crowds, I suggest arriving early by ferry or staying late and waiting for the last ferry at 5:30pm/6:30pm during the summer. We decided to rent 2 sunbeds for 2 hours at €25, which was definitely worth it if you don't want to carry too many things. However, there's also the option to set up your own spot for free at the public area (which still had plenty of space, especially considering it was a Saturday). I highly recommend this beach to anyone looking for a more peaceful alternative away from the main islands.
We decided to go for a hike from San Rocco early in the morning to avoid the heat and the crowds of tourists. Unfortunately, there seems to be a constant influx of thousands of tourists being brought in. A packed boat arrives every thirty minutes. The beach, which can accommodate maybe 50 people, is mostly filled with expensive sunbeds priced at 80€ (!!!!!!!). There's hardly any space left for regular visitors like us. We ended up taking the first ferry out of here. It's a shame that nobody informs you about this situation, and they continue selling ferry tickets to bring in even more people. It's a beautiful place, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment.
When I first came across this beach in Hollywood movies and Indian Bollywood films, I realized it was an amazing spot to have a delightful vacation or capture some memorable movie scenes.
The beach is beautiful, but it gets very crowded during the peak season. It can only be reached by boats that operate hourly until 6:00 pm.
The beach and water are stunning. However, if it gets crowded, it's best to arrive early and book sun beds and restaurants in advance.
