The track down to the beach was ok and navigable (April 2023) however there are bundles of munted rolled up conveyer belts that have been kicked up by your usual 4x4 enthusiasts. Shouldnt be a problem getting back up if you lower your tyre's PSI beforehand and drive sensibly. The beach was soft and no fun to travel on as the extra fuel usage with hi RPM's did the vehicles no favours. Good fishing all along the beach but not much else to see except passing whales in season. If the Gordon Inlet is passable then a short cut back to Bremer Bay along the beach is an option but make sure you can cross the Gordon inlet otherwise its about 18 kilometres back to the hill climb up from Point Ann fish hole. A few of the other peoples photos marked as "Point Ann Fish Hole" are actually of Point Ann itself and can confuse out of town tourists.
BEST BEACH IN AUSTRALIA and I have covered 70% of its coast. And much nicer than the caribbean! Much nicer and cleaner than lucky bay. FULL OF WHALES. Turquoise water, white sand.
This is why we can't have good things... take it easy and navigate carefully if you give it a go, plenty of steel pegs and wire sticking up. Bit soft on the entry as for most, clearance is king as always.
Great place for families, good fishing and surfing...
