Drove from town to Foster Beach early AM in our standard Pajero with little difficulty. Download the Ariel imagery of google maps beforehand to show you the tracks. Let tyres down and have the vehicle in low range and all the tracks are accessible. Sand can get a little soft but very do-able, keep an eye on tides. Even saw a VW AWD on the beach. Steep uphills on the way out but the journey is helped with some matting on the steeper inclines. Husband caught herring salmon and tailor about a third of the way along the beach, look for the gutters. Beautiful at any time of day, fantastic views. No phone signal on the beach itself.
