Beautiful beach to explore, but keep in mind it is necessary to take a brief drive on an unpaved road and there are no lifeguards available. The beach is stunning to behold, with hardly any crowds, only the soothing sound of the waves and plenty of pristine sand! Access to the beach is via steps from the gravel parking area; it may be a bit steep but not overly challenging. Please be aware that Pooleys Beach is a nesting area for Pied Oystercatchers, so it is important to show respect for the local wildlife. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the vicinity and don't mind a little dirt on your vehicle.
What a fantastic beach! During the busy Christmas season, we were pleasantly surprised to find it peaceful, with only two small clusters of people around. Although we didn't have enough time to walk the entire length, we managed to enjoy a quick swim, explore the rock pools, and gather some interesting shells. The central part of the beach appeared untouched and pristine, with exceptionally clear waters.
