Nirwana Beach is located on the South China Sea (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 28th place out of 29 beaches in the Riau Islands region 34.3 km away from its center, the city of Tanjung Pinang. It is one of the beaches of Karas settlement, just 7.1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Nirwana Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature, toilets. .

The approach to the beach is a complete disaster. The road leading to this location is in dire need of repair and maintenance. It is a bumpy ride that will leave you feeling dizzy and nauseous. The potholes are so deep that they could swallow a small car whole. The journey is so rough that it feels like a punishment for even considering visiting this beach. Unless you have a high tolerance for discomfort, I suggest you steer clear of this place.
