Bahagia Beach is located on the Bali Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 3th place out of 29 beaches in the Riau Islands region 49.2 km away from its center, the city of Tanjung Pinang. It is one of the beaches of Nongsa settlement, just 3.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with brown water and bright shell sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. Please note that the area nearby is possible for wild camping.

Bahagia Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis.

Please note, that this shore has a significant low tide.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

It is highly recommended to plan your visit to the beach during weekdays as it offers a serene and tranquil environment. This is the perfect place to unwind and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

This beach is under the management of the locals, so it's best not to have high expectations. Unfortunately, the beach is not well-maintained and lacks essential facilities. Upon entry, I had to pay IDR 10K for two people. However, if you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy the sea breeze, there are some gazebos available for rent. The rental fee for the gazebos is written on the wall, and it's IDR 100K on regular days, which is quite expensive considering the quality. During the day, there isn't much to see here except for numerous cargo vessels floating around the strait and a silhouette of Singapore covered in air pollution.
