To be honest, the beach doesn't appear to be as pink as we were led to believe. A local resident informed us that it used to be much pinker, but even in the morning light, it didn't quite live up to our expectations. Having visited the pink beach in Komodo Island, we found that there was a lot more pink there than here. However, the view of the beach with the mountains in the background was breathtaking. Although the local guy offered to take us snorkeling by boat, my boyfriend and I weren't really interested in doing it that day.
If you're only coming for the perfect Instagram shot, the beach might not be the best choice as it's only slightly pink. However, the beach is peaceful and beautiful, making it a great spot to spend a relaxing afternoon. We also had some mouth-watering seafood from the warung located at the far end. Although it's a long scooter ride from Kuta, the scenic drive is definitely worth it.
The eastern end of Lombok Island boasts a stunning beach with pink sand, which is the second of its kind in the area. The access road has been recently widened and paved, allowing for cars to pass through and park right in front of the beach. Despite what may appear on Google Maps, the road is actually quite wide and has not yet been updated. The entrance fee is IDR 7,500 per person and IDR 10,000 per car. Unlike Pink Beach I, this beach lacks amenities such as facilities and restaurants, so it may be better to have a base at Pink Beach I.
This beach is absolutely incredible! Upon arriving, there were already some people there so we had to wait a few hours to get our perfect photo. The sand has a lovely light pink tint to it, although you could always enhance it with some Photoshop editing if you want it to look even pinker. The beach is quite a distance away and I'm not entirely convinced it's worth the effort. The photos that were posted of the beach with its pink sand have been altered by some individuals, which may disappoint those who were expecting to see a more vibrant hue. While the sand does have a slight pink tint, it's not very noticeable. The beach is still pleasant, but unfortunately, there is a significant amount of litter on the beach and even more in the sea. There are local food vendors available, but the abundance of flies around them is a warning sign for the level of hygiene. Although I'm glad I visited, I wouldn't go again or recommend it, which is something I rarely say.
