Adored the Pulicat shoreline, particularly the boat journey from the kuppam to the isles. I had reservations about the kuppam, and my doubts were confirmed. However, once we boarded the boat and embarked on the 20-minute voyage to the island, it was truly breathtaking! It's important to note that there are no restroom facilities or trash receptacles on the island, so be sure to dispose of your waste properly. Children will delight in the beach - I highly suggest visiting during the summer months.
The lack of adequate upkeep is noticeable. The boating experience is enjoyable, but it's best to avoid rides in the afternoon. The beauty of this location truly shines in the evening.
Charging around 1000 to 1200RS for a 30 to 40-minute boat ride may seem a bit steep, but don't hesitate to negotiate for a better price. Despite this, the overall experience was quite enjoyable.🔥
The path was blocked off. Opted for an alternate route. The shoreline was largely contaminated with waste. Wandered a bit to discover a slightly more pleasant spot to relax. Uncertain about the credibility of other comments.
The sea is precisely that shade... not emerald, not turquoise, not your typical swimming pool blue... not "blue daba dee daba die"... just a simple, plain sea blue. The magnificence of the sea in this place is indescribable and must be experienced firsthand. One end of the beach boasts a nice stretch of sand and a few graves. The rest of the beach is mostly devoid of shops, crowds, stray vegetation, and excessive litter, except for a couple of electric poles and some asbestos sheet shacks that seem to be used for changing after a swim. During our visit, the sea was quite tranquil. It's hard to say if it was the time of day or if it's always like that. A police notice on a wall displays the number of deaths that have occurred in the sea over the past few years, hinting at the sea's potential roughness. Gentle waves gently lap at your feet before retreating. At the beach entrance stands a freshly painted and spruced up lighthouse. Unlike the typical red and white, this lighthouse is painted in red and grey. A few small shops are available, selling tea and light snacks.
