Challenging pathways leading to the shore. The terrain is mostly gravel at first, then transitions to large rocks, so having a 4x4 vehicle is essential to maneuver through this area to avoid the possibility of a flat tire. Abundant grasshoppers and insects present as well. No signs of other individuals nearby, and understandably so, as this location is secluded. It is advisable to wait until the roads are repaired before considering a visit here.
We strolled to the beach from the far end of Poros on foot, starting near the Filoxenia hotel. It took us around 40 minutes with our two-and-a-half-year-old child. The walk offers lovely views of Poros, the mountains, and the sea. I suggest heading there on foot before 10 o'clock to avoid the intense heat. The path is a dirt road, with some scattered stones in certain areas. You can drive almost all the way to the beach. I recommend parking where the road splits before reaching the beach, with one path leading between a fence down to the beach and another more scenic route running along the shore. The final stretch to the beach (last 50 meters) is quite steep and can be slippery, so wearing sports shoes is advisable. The beach itself is stunning, with pebbles, larger stones, and underwater rocks extending about 50 meters from the shore to the sea, followed by sandy areas. While there is quite a bit of sea grass on the beach, you can still find spots without it. The beach is very secluded, beautiful, and peaceful, making it perfect for snorkeling. It is also geologically fascinating. The only downside was the constant noise from passing boats, which could be irritating.
Extremely stunning beach with a limited number of visitors at the moment. Accessible only by foot or bicycle, as reaching it by car or scooter is nearly unattainable. A pleasant 1-1.5 km walk followed by a 20m descent is required. Overall, a fantastic location.
Stunning scenery but challenging to reach - it's a considerable trek on foot from Poros, and by car, it's still quite a distance. Upon arrival, navigating the steep hills and rocky terrain proved too difficult for us, leading to feelings of unease.
Hidden treasure. Following a rugged path in your vehicle, you eventually reach a secluded spot where you must continue on foot. The descent is challenging, but the payoff is well worth it. The water is pristine, and the shoreline is a mix of smooth pebbles and dried seaweed, creating a unique blend. This location is ideal for snorkeling, gentle cliff jumping, swimming, and sunbathing. Chances are, you'll have this beach all to yourself for a truly private experience.
