This beach is in dire need of our attention and care. During my recent visit, I was disheartened to see the abundance of litter scattered across the sand, likely brought in by the wind and waves, or carelessly left behind by fellow beach-goers. It's been six years since my last visit, and the state of the beach has significantly deteriorated since then. As visitors, it's our responsibility to take action and contribute to the preservation of this natural wonder. Let's make a conscious effort to leave the beach cleaner than we found it by picking up any trash we see and ensuring we don't leave any of our own behind.
The ascent to the beach is rather steep, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear. I made the error of arriving after 3pm, resulting in most of the beach being shaded due to its location on the island's northern side. In general, this beach is the least convenient due to the challenging hike and lackluster scenery, with a few old fishing nets strewn about. If you have limited time, I recommend prioritizing Livadaki, Galifos, and Katergo beaches instead.
Avoid this beach at all costs! It's a complete waste of time and effort. The shoreline is unclean and winds tend to bring in litter, making it an unpleasant experience. You're better off exploring other beaches that offer a more enjoyable and cleaner environment.
The journey to reach this beach is a bit of a hike, taking over 15 minutes. However, the beach's unique charm lies in its shimmering green pebbles and the stunning cliffs that serve as a picturesque backdrop. Although, it's important to note that this beach is susceptible to the north wind, resulting in an abundance of dried seaweed and a larger amount of floating debris in the water compared to other beaches.
This breathtaking beach is a true gem, secluded from the hustle and bustle of the world. The water is crystal clear and refreshingly cool, inviting you to take a dip and soak up the natural beauty that surrounds you. The unique rock formations add to the stunning scenery, creating a picturesque backdrop for your visit. If the wind is favorable (not blowing from the north), make sure to add this beach to your must-see list. While the path to access it may be a bit steep, it is definitely manageable with a sturdy pair of shoes. Don't forget to pack some water and snacks to fully enjoy your time in this tranquil paradise.
