This beach in the southern part of Starnberg Lake is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. It offers plenty of parking spaces for a fee of 3€ for a six-hour stay. It's not too crowded and the water is clear and shallow, making it safe for kids to swim several hundred meters out. Additionally, there's a small restaurant located right on the beach.
The beach area is lovely and has convenient amenities such as parking, concessions, and shaded grassy spots. However, parking may be challenging during peak times, so it's best to arrive early. The snack shop offers ice cream and beer for purchase, and beachside grilling is permitted after 8 pm. It's recommended to bring along an umbrella, towels, and snacks. Although the beach has small stones, the lake bottom is sandy, making it an ideal spot for stand-up paddleboarding or canoeing. Inflatables are also permitted.
This beach is great for families with young children and teenagers. There are plenty of parking spots available for cars. The water is perfect for swimming and other water sports, even for adults who venture further out into the lake. Additionally, there is a terrace where you can grab a bite to eat or enjoy some ice cream.
In my opinion, the best part of Starnbergersee is right here. The water is shallow, making it perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or having a summer picnic with friends and family. You can even grill here. During the winter months, it has a different charm and beauty, and you can take a long walk. I highly recommend this spot. There's parking available across the way for 4 euros in the summer (free in winter) and kiosks nearby. It's definitely a great place to catch summer sunsets, and there's a public restroom nearby.
There's a fantastic meadow near the lake that has a convenient snack shop/deli and a beer garden nearby. This large public recreation area allows swimming and is perfect for families with young children due to the long, shallow banks along the shore.
