Baule Beach is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 2th place out of 56 beaches in the Loire-Atlantique region 62.4 km away from its center, the city of Nantes. It is one of the beaches of La Baule-Escoublac settlement, just 1.8 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and white sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

This beach is absolutely gorgeous! It's not overrun with tourists from other countries, as it's mostly a hidden gem for French visitors. The coastline is stunning with its wild beauty, and it boasts the longest beach in Europe. The sand is incredibly soft, and although the water can be a bit chilly, it's perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. La Baule is a charming town that only adds to the overall appeal.

La Baule boasts a stunning 9 km long sandy beach that is one of the longest in Europe. The contrast of colors and lighting conditions create phenomenal images throughout the day, whether it's morning, noon, or evening. The size of the beach changes with the tides, but there is always plenty of space to sunbathe, swim, or relax in peace, even during high season. It's unclear whether the current lack of crowds is due to Covid19 or not, but it's a welcome change nonetheless. In the morning and evening, the beach is perfect for horseback riding or dog walking. The bay is a popular spot for sailing, kite and windsurfing, and stand-up paddling, with several schools offering courses. The colorful sails and bustling activity make for an entertaining day, even for spectators. The promenade stretches the entire length of the beach, and there is a well-developed bike path as well. Overall, I highly recommend a stay at La Baule for anyone who hasn't experienced it yet.
