La Plage Alistro is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 56th place out of 92 beaches in the Haute-Corse region 50.2 km away from its center, the city of Bastia. It is one of the beaches of Alistro settlement, just 1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors, partygoers etc. It is not crowded place during the season. There is a campsite located nearby.

The beachside campsite is situated in a stunning location right by the sea. Nonetheless, the buildings appear worn-out and in need of repair. The proprietor, who is elderly, tends to be irritable and argumentative, particularly towards Italians. This animosity stems from an incident in the past where one of our fellow countrymen left without settling the bill, leading the owner to view all Italians with suspicion and treat them rudely. Furthermore, the owner only accepts cash payments and strictly enforces the check-out time, even a few minutes late could result in being charged for an entire day. I would not recommend this place.

The campsite's sanitary service is lacking due to the absence of hot showers. However, there are additional showers conveniently placed near the campers. In terms of management, the owner is a friendly and accessible elderly gentleman. Not to mention, the location itself is a peaceful oasis, surrounded by a vast forest and offering kilometers of beachfront for long walks. If you prefer shade from the plants, you can find it just 50 meters away from the sea. Alternatively, the campsite seamlessly transitions into the beach.

I would advise avoiding this place! The owner, who seems solely focused on making money, is an elderly gentleman. The moment you mention that you will only be there for a short while, he immediately loses interest and treats you as if you are not worth talking to. When we inquired about the availability of Wi-Fi, he responded that it is not provided for one-night stays, but perhaps for stays of two to three nights. (This is a true story!) We explained that it would be impossible for us to stay without Wi-Fi, and he simply bid us farewell. We ended up staying at another campground just seven minutes away from this place, where everyone is respectful, friendly, and the restroom facilities are exceptionally clean. Once again, I strongly recommend staying away from individuals like this and not allowing them to profit off of you. They do not even deserve a single cent.
