During my journey from Cannes to Monte Carlo, I made a short visit to the pebbled beach. It was a refreshing experience as it was unlike the sandy beaches in Cannes. The beach had a unique charm and character that set it apart from the others.
During our adventure through Italy and France, we opted for wild camping and sought out locations where we could slumber beneath the open sky or in our trusty tent. This beach provided us with a sense of security and serenity as we dozed off to the sounds of local fishermen and jovial residents enjoying their meals on towels or makeshift tables. Though there were no changing rooms or restrooms available, a shower was at our disposal. The ambiance was pleasant and exceeded our expectations when compared to other beaches along the Cote d'Azur. It was peculiar to discover a pristine location devoid of litter and seemingly unmanaged by anyone. Furthermore, the beach was not overcrowded, offering ample space for all visitors.
The beach is well-maintained and has ample space for visitors to relax. Additionally, the beach is adorned with lovely landscaping. It's worth noting that the beach has light pebbles, which add to its unique charm.
Currently, the beach is delightfully serene in the mornings due to the pandemic. The journey from the public parking to Marina Baie des Anges spans approximately 4.2km, but the pleasant stroll along the ocean makes it feel shorter. The roundtrip takes about an hour and a half, and the experience may be a bit strenuous on your ankles and calves due to the pebbles on the path. Although the restaurants are closed, some visitors take advantage of the sunny weather by bringing their own lunch or having a picnic on the beach.
Ideal for a family picnic, this beach offers a wonderful opportunity to bond with your children. My daughter and I love to spend our Wednesdays here, building sandcastles and playing with stones by the shore. The view is simply breathtaking, but unfortunately, the beach is sometimes littered with dog waste. Additionally, the proximity of the train tracks and the road can make it challenging to fully immerse oneself in the tranquil surroundings.
