I went to the beach in August and found that the sea was quite chilly due to the strong wind, but the water had a lovely clear appearance. Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant sewage smell on the beach, which we later discovered was mentioned in the local reviews. On the bright side, the beach was easily accessible and there was ample parking available nearby. Additionally, there was a friendly snack bar on site. However, the presence of vendors on the beach made us feel uneasy about leaving our belongings unattended while we wanted to take a swim.
Be careful! The beach has a foul odor and the water is polluted with untreated sewage! It appears that the underwater pipes of the nearby sewage treatment facility are damaged, and during summer, they also release unfiltered excess waste into the ocean. Enjoy your meal.
The beach was quite packed with a small stretch of sand. The water was pleasant. To have some shade, we decided to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for 30 euros. Unfortunately, we ended up being crammed in between neighbors on both sides who were constantly smoking and chatting. There was definitely no space for maintaining proper social distancing. Although we needed the umbrella, I don't think I would choose to go back there again.
The place is absolutely amazing, with a breathtaking view.
The beach is great for swimming, but be cautious of jellyfish. We spotted four of them, and surprisingly, there were no official warnings. It's a good idea to ask others before going into the water. The most common jellyfish here is the pelagia, and its stings can be quite painful and even cause allergic reactions. To alleviate the discomfort, try using a mixture of salt water and bicarbonates.
