This beach offers a variety of activities, such as horse riding, snorkelling, massages, and even coconuts. It's a great spot to visit with loved ones for a picnic and to enjoy the nice sandy beach and swimming.
The beach is absolutely gorgeous, with pristine waters that are a true natural wonder. However, I wouldn't recommend horseback riding as I've seen some folks only go a short distance before turning back. Although we did try the massage service, which was decent for 20-30 minutes, I wouldn't say it's a must-do. The scenery is reminiscent of New Zealand's stunning vistas.
I cannot believe the great reviews this beach gets. Unless you pay to enter it via one of the two resorts where presumably it is kept tidy, the area where you park without having to pay is an absolute disgrace. There was a large dumpster that was overflowing with garbage and surrounded by piles of empty beer bottles. The ground was awash with discarded polystyrene takeaway food containers, food scraps and other assorted rubbish. It is an indictment of the locals who try and sell you a horse ride or massage that they sit in their huts and apparently make no effort to clean the place up. The beach itself is OK but the day we were there the waves were "dumping" and it was unsafe to swim. There are two areas at either end of the beach that are protected by reefs but it is a long walk. After a 30 km drive from Sigatoka we stayed about 15 minutes and went away regretting ever going there. It is a very poor advertisement for Fiji.
The beach is stunning and perfect for snorkeling, but it's disheartening to witness the amount of litter left behind by visitors. It would be great if everyone could take their trash with them and dispose of it properly. Other than that, the beach is a wonderful spot to bring your own food and drinks and have a great time.
We had a great time at the beach with plenty of activities to enjoy such as cave tour, snorkelling, horse riding, and of course, swimming. We also got to experience some traditional Fijian culture with a Cava tasting and a delicious Lovo "Hungi" feast. The night ended with a cozy bonfire and some guitar playing.
