A place where you can soak up the sun and enjoy the salty breeze without being bombarded by other humans. The island Beach is a prime example of this, with plenty of room to spread out and bask in the peacefulness of your surroundings. And if you do happen to crave some human interaction, fear not - there are bars, restaurants, and resorts aplenty dotting the coastline. But the real draw of this area? The fishing. It's top-notch, folks. And don't even get me started on the mangroves - they're teeming with wildlife just waiting to be discovered. And if surfing is your thing, well, you're in luck. This place is world class. My family and I can't get enough of this place. We've even found our home away from home at Casa 1, a rental that's just a kilometer down the road. So if you're looking for a slice of paradise that's

Puntarenas boasts yet another awe-inspiring beach in Costa Rica. The beach stretches out endlessly, anchored to the north by the Rio Pirris, a large river that flows into the ocean. Many Ticos can be seen fishing in the river and adjacent ocean. The beach is perfect for surfing and biggie boarding during low tide. However, due to the rough surf, it is not recommended for swimming. The beach is dotted with beautiful trees that provide ample shade and privacy. After a day of sun and sand, head to Paritta where you can indulge in a delicious dinner at one of the many restaurants.

This beach is an oasis of serenity, with a vast expanse of unspoiled sand stretching out as far as the eye can see. During my visit, I was delighted to find that the beach was practically deserted, save for a friendly dog and a handful of other beachgoers. I even caught a glimpse of a beautiful wedding ceremony taking place nearby, adding a touch of romance to the already idyllic setting. While some visitors seemed to be congregated near their hotels, it was easy to find a secluded spot to bask in the sun and soak up the peaceful atmosphere.

Experience the ultimate morning jog on the beach, where the low tide creates a stunning mirror image of the sky and the vast ocean seems to be miles away. Keep an eye out for sand dollars as you stroll along the pristine shores. This secluded paradise is a hidden gem in Costa Rica, free from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism. It's the perfect starting point to explore the nearby Manuel Antonio and its wonders.
