Iguanita beach is located on the Pacific ocean and it is in the 102th place out of 233 beaches in the Costa Rica region 186.4 km away from its center, the city of San Jose. It is one of the beaches of Alto Roble settlement, just 1.9 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Iguanita beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature, showers, toilets. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

The beach isn't very large, but it stretches out quite a bit with plenty of trees for shade from the intense heat. The sea was very calm today, despite the strong winds, thanks to being sheltered in a bay. The road to the beach is in poor condition, making it a bit challenging to drive back with a regular car. It's a great spot for camping and having a barbecue.

I highly recommend visiting Iguanita Beach, a stunning national refuge perfect for photography enthusiasts and those looking to relax in calm, crystal-clear waters. Access to the beach is limited to 4x4 vehicles only. 🌊📸🚙🌞

This beach is one of the best I've been to in the area. Some may say it's accessible with any car, but I highly recommend using a 4x4 or at least an SUV with front dirt tires. I got stuck in the steepest part of the path.

This beach used to be a hidden gem, but it's now quite popular with locals. My husband and I camped here between Christmas and New Year's Eve and it was crowded. There are two sections to the beach - the right side is free with porto-potties, while the left side requires a $6 fee for access and has actual bathrooms and ranger security. We arrived before sunset and thought the beach was closed, but you just need to get the ranger's attention before 8pm. Overall, it's a beautiful small beach, but be prepared for crowds as it's well known to locals now.

We went to this beach as part of a guided 4wheeler tour. The beach is stunning! It's untouched, with more monkeys than people and iguanas roaming in the trees. The ocean view is breathtaking. I'm not sure if I'll ever have the chance to return, but this part of the trip truly amazed me.
