In August of 2021, my travels brought me to Albania where I made the foolish decision to visit this particular beach. While the scenery may have been pleasant, the journey to get there was nothing short of a nightmare. The roads leading to the beach were treacherous and nearly impossible to navigate, much like most roads in Albania. Despite renting a car, the journey was long and grueling. We had to endure a treacherous mountain serpentine for a solid two hours before finally turning onto a single-lane trail which we had to follow for another 50 minutes before reaching the parking lot.
