Tamarind Reef beach II

The rooms are spacious and cozy, located right on the beach. However, swimming may not be ideal due to the presence of many sea urchins. Despite this, the all-you-can-eat dinner and show are highly recommended. Additionally, the pool is very enjoyable.

I would not recommend staying at this beach again. I am very active and like to use the gym every day, sometimes late at night, but I couldn't because the gym door is broken and doesn't close properly. People from outside the hotel and marina are able to access the gym, making me feel unsafe, especially at night. The gym was also dirty and messy, with towels on the floor, weights scattered around, and a hole in the wall. It seemed like the gym had been vandalized and neglected. I suggest that Tamarind fixes the gym door and cleans up the mess to prioritize guest safety. Overall, the hotel needs many improvements. If you're visiting St. Croix, I recommend staying at the new King Christian Hotel downtown or Carambola on the west end for a safer experience.

The reef was stunning! The rooms were spacious and spotless. The restaurant was quite expensive and extremely slow, with breakfasts taking an hour most mornings. The menu was basic with limited vegetarian options. Our main issue was that despite the website advertising free kayak and paddle board use, we were not allowed to use them all week due to "unsafe water conditions", even though there were calm days with no whitecaps. Overall, our experience was decent, and we enjoyed the evening entertainment. The view was incredible. The snorkel equipment was affordable and functional. The beach was mostly coral with a small swimming area, but there were many sea urchins in the water. We probably wouldn't choose to stay here again, as the value for the cost wasn't ideal.

The beach has a great location with amazing views, and waking up to the sound of the waves is a wonderful experience. However, there were some inconsistencies with the room service, such as a patio door that didn't open all the way, ripped screens, and soaps not being refilled. The AC also started dripping water on the last day. The restaurant was decent, but the prices were high for a resort and the chairs and tables were dirty. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful. The food was inconsistent, with some days having a fruit cup for breakfast and others not, as well as some days the watermelon being salty and other days not. These are minor issues that can easily be fixed. Overall, I might consider coming back, especially since the entertainment at the Deep End was great.

I stayed at this beach for one night. Positives - 1. The ocean view was amazing. The view from the room balcony was excellent and the best part of the property in my opinion. 2. They were able to accommodate our reservation on short notice. Needs Improvement - 1. The room could have been cleaner in my opinion. The microwave was dirty and the room we stayed in did not match any of the pictures online. 2. The balcony door did not lock and the in-room safe was overly complicated to use. Overall, I think this beach would be suitable if you plan on spending a lot of time exploring St. Croix and not much time in the room. Unfortunately, it was not a good fit for my spouse and me for our delayed honeymoon.
