The beach is stunning and peaceful, with clearly marked trails that are easy to navigate. It's a perfect spot for picnics and observing nature.
This beach is a fantastic spot for the kids to have fun. We plan on returning in the summer, as the wind was quite chilly during our visit.
I will definitely return. The beautiful views and the chance to wade out to the island are priceless. There are only pit toilets available, but no camping allowed, which is actually a good thing.
This park is one of the most beautiful I've ever been to! It's peaceful and captivating, with well-maintained hiking trails. The sandy beach stretches at least 2 miles long and is perfect for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking when the wind is calm. The water is incredibly clear and the surrounding forest is stunning. There are two parking areas with pit toilets available. Just make sure to have a Michigan recreation pass, which can be bought at any state campground for $39.
I hiked both the Song Bird Trail and went up to Presque Isle Point. The trails were great and had lots of signs identifying different local birds.
