Malpica Beach is an ideal spot for families, as it offers a unique opportunity for children to learn about nature. Its northern shoreline is open to the public, and its eastern end features a number of beautiful intertidal pools. Visitors can observe a variety of creatures, such as lichens, algae, fish, minchas, fireflies, lampreys, urchins, and mussels, all from the comfort of the promenade or the nearby hotel terraces. It's a great way to teach kids biology and ecology, while still keeping them within sight of their parents.
Malpica de Bergantiños is home to a very picturesque beach, boasting stunning views and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The beach itself is immaculately clean, and offers several points of access, as well as showers and lifeguards. Surfing lessons are also available, and the beach is usually full of surfers. At high tide, the beach is almost non-existent, and the water is cold. There are usually waves, so children should not be left unattended. At low tide, it connects to Canid Beach, making the entire area a beautiful and inviting destination.
The beach shrinks when the tide rises, but the scenery and vista are breathtaking. Unfortunately, the size of the beach is not so great.
Simply stunning, with its crystal clear turquoise waters and soft white sand. It's perfect for surfers, and swimmers will love the warm water. Although the sea can be quite choppy at times, making swimming prohibited, it's still a great spot to catch a glimpse of a dolphin in the late afternoon. Plus, it's easily accessible, making it a great spot for a day out.
Malpica de Bergantiños is a stunning destination that never fails to impress. Even with the low tide, there are still about 10-15 meters of beach. The area also offers wonderful walks and spectacular terraces. Not to mention, the gastronomy in the area is top-notch. If you're ever in the Costa da Morte, this beautiful fishing village is a must-visit.
