The beach has a dark past of mining, and unfortunately, the legacy of that is still quite visible in the form of rubbish and dirt. Despite this, there is still a lot of people camping right there, but the journey to the beach is quite challenging for car tires. Although the beach has brown sand, there are much nicer beaches in the region that are also more easily accessible.
El Gorguel is a beach with a special charm which is easily accessible. The road to get there is not the best, but it's not too bad either; making it perfect for a peaceful and scenic journey. There used to be a mine there, so the beach is made up of black sand, making it stand out from the rest. The atmosphere is really great and I love it! 😁🌄
It's a bit off the beaten path and the roads can be a bit rough, but it's definitely worth the drive. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, since there aren't any stores nearby. I had a blast, even though I lost my front license plate while driving on the beach!
The trek down to the beach was quite treacherous and intimidating. The atmosphere there was quite oppressive and the sand was quite disheartening. I wouldn't recommend this place.
The beach was too crowded for my liking and there were too many dodgy looking people. I didn't enjoy my experience there - it would have been better if I had come on a different day. Additionally, the beach is easily accessible, which is a plus.
