That place is 1.5km long and very wide, with a secure front line and a mix of gray shell sand and small stones. It's the perfect spot for crab pots! There are plenty of beach bars and a wide promenade, as well as several nearby parking lots (except for caravans and motorhomes). It's a very quiet and family-friendly beach, making it a great spot for a relaxing day out.
I absolutely adore this beach - it's made of pebbles, making it super easy to keep clean. The water was crystal clear and there's plenty of parking space available, making it incredibly easy to access.
The beach was massive, but the sand was dark and dirty-looking. It seemed like the area near the road had been flooded, which might explain why I wasn't too impressed with the surroundings. So, we decided to leave.
All right
I had an extremely negative experience at the beach. After a long night trip, I arrived to find it was a complete disaster. The area I saw was only 200-300 meters of Camping Playa de Poniente, but it was enough for me to decide I never wanted to go back. The sand was not sand at all, but more like clay, grey and completely unappealing. It was littered with broken glass and cigarette ends, as if there had been a wild party the night before. The air was misty, and everything clung to you, making you feel dirty even after a shower. The landscape was flat and unappealing, and although the mountains were nearby, it still gave off an unhealthy feeling. I had chosen this area because I had heard it was undeveloped, but I was not prepared for the mess I encountered.
