That place is the ideal spot to unwind and take in the sun. The peaceful, sheltered bay offers a stunning sandy beach, with a beach café/restaurant overlooking Gibraltar. Perfect for families, the staff are friendly and accommodating.
This spot was an ideal getaway. We were able to park close by and enjoy a peaceful day at the shore. The only downside was that there was limited availability of refreshments, as only one of the two bars/restaurants was open at the time of our visit.
The beach at the West end of town is a great spot for families and those looking for a safe swim. It's clean and there are two beach bars/restaurants with sunbeds and parasols for rent. It's a popular spot for the locals to hang out in the evening, and the atmosphere leading up to sunset is amazing.
We took an afternoon to explore this beach. There were two restaurants and a rental spot for paddle boats. Unfortunately, the beach wasn't anything special and the water was quite dirty and full of jellyfish. The man running the paddle boat rentals was incredibly rude - even after we returned the boat within 15 minutes, he still charged us for the hour. The price of the beach beds was also quite expensive at 10 euros each, but our kids had a great time. All in all, it was a relaxing beach, but the bad attitude of the paddle boat man left a sour taste in our mouths.
This location is a real gem. It's spotless, with great amenities and the water is shallow for a long stretch, which is not typical for the region. The temperature here is higher than other nearby beaches. The views of the coast are stunning - on a clear day you can make out Gibraltar and Morroco. Access isn't easy as it's somewhat tucked away, but it's worth the effort.
