A great to explore abandoned hotel, you see how the sea and nature claim their territory back. A lot of the area is already overgrown and hard to access. It's sad that the owners could just leave everything there, especially all the garbage. The trail from the start to the hotel takes about 10-20mins and is quite easy to accomplish, especially for skilled hikers. Be carefull of the tons of spiderwebs in and around the buildings and bring solid shoes for the hike and exploration. The beach is wonderful and you should have it to yourself.
A nice little exploration of the old Resort abandoned in 2017. Everything has been left abandoned, and the vegetation is already regaining its rights over the restaurant room and the swimming pool. We imagine a once sublime place. Today, we have the impression of having landed on the island of Jurassic Park after a catastrophe. The beach, immense at high tide, is splendid and offers a superb panorama of La Digue located just opposite. Be careful on the trail which crosses the jungle, it is better to be well equipped because the rocks are slippery and the mangrove on arrival is rather thick.
How painful it is to see these photos! We got married in 2014 in this magnificent hotel because we fell in love with this magical place in 2012, accessible only by boat or by crossing the forest of Anse la joke (great panorama) and we celebrated every year until 2017 our wedding anniversary in this paradise...
Honeymoon with my wife in 2016... what can I say? It was a fantastic place with an enviable position and a spectacular sea! Stunning open-air restaurant... Bungalow on 2 floors, swimming pool 2 steps from the sea, giant turtles walking around, walk in the jungle that led to a spectacular beach, birds of all species, flying foxes that arrived overhead after 6pm on the trees! What a shame guys! What a great shame!
We discovered the abandoned hotel by chance. We wanted to go to a small section of beach via the small path through the jungle and came across the old complex next to the great beach. We found old magazines from the hotel in a building, which was certainly very nice. The beach is great, partly sandy, gently sloping and with a great view of the neighboring island. Very nice photo opportunity!
