There is a trail to this beach off a larger coastal walk. There is a trail marker. The trail has degraded somewhat, so some steps are very eroded and consequently a bit of a drop. It's probably still medium-easy going. It's maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the beach from the main trail. When you approach the beach the trail has a large drop in it so be prepared for a bit of a climb down.
Awesome sunrise spot at port stephens, one can simply forget the world and relax watching the sunrise at wreck beach. Did watch sunrise on 25-Dec-22 around 5:40 AM, we reached this bay by 5:30 AM. Very relaxing, kids started screaming when sun is coming out 😊 Sunset is being covered at Anna bay around @7:40PM. Beautiful natural eye feast.
A quick hike down the road will make way for this beautiful beach. Heaven-like as the bushes reveal this exquisite site of nature. We went on a weekday arvo and were lucky enough to get this all to ourself! A private beach feeling. Waves are strong, so swimming might only fit strong swimmers.
Lovely serene beach. The walk was steep and rough at times and took a while to reach. Nonetheless, it was well worth the trip as the beach is expansive and private, the sand is pristine and the ocean view is awesome. We frolicked on the beach sand, played with the crashing waves and sat on the beautiful rocks to watch the day go by. With plentiful of liquids and towel to dry off, the day is guaranteed to be beautiful. BTW, parking was a pain and we were fortunate to find the last slot on Verona Road. After the trip we found out that it is a Grade 4 Track where some bush-walking experience is recommended and it is 2 km return! Looking forward to some whale and dolphin watching in the near future. Tchau!
A great little beach, a bit of a hike to get there. However it was worth the effort. Water was crystal clear, sand clean as. No crowds.
